About
My passion for psychology stems from my belief that everyone deserves to feel good about themself. We deserve to enjoy a sense of security in who we are and trust our mind's ability to manage our thoughts and emotions. We all wish to live up to our potential, to be better versions of ourselves—happier, more productive, balanced, and content. Mental well-being doesn’t always come easily, though. Life is challenging. And the human mind is complex. For many of us, fear, anxiety, worry, guilt, or sadness can become overwhelming for periods in our lives. We feel alone and abandoned by our sense of security, and we lose trust in our ability to manage uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. This is where therapy comes in! Two minds can truly be greater than one. Help and support are the proven antithesis of struggling alone. And providing such professional help and support on a one-on-one basis is what I do. Of course, no two people are the same. And my therapeutic approach is tailored to each client’s individual strengths, needs, and level of comfort. Whether we are working with CBT, psycho-dynamic, mindfulness-based or existential therapy, my office (in person or through video conference) is a safe and friendly place where I’ll support you to be yourself free of judgment. Trust and openness will be our guiding therapeutic forces. Our goal will be to gain perspective and understanding along with the know-how to help you feel good and push yourself to new heights. I have a BA from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s in clinical psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. Prior to my career in clinical psychology, I was an attorney in private practice dealing in large part with anti-discrimination-based representation. I received my JD from the New England School of Law.
