At times, counseling can be a challenging journey filled with moments of victory and setback, joy and sadness; while at others, it's a profound experience that can instill hope and change. And yet, through these ups and downs, growth is often found. To me, that's the magic of therapy: It's a time for self-reflection and enlightenment; a time for learning; a time to practice self-compassion.

I’ve been a licensed mental health counselor for over thirteen years and have worked in a variety of settings—from community mental health agencies to physicians’ offices to private practice—with folks from an array of cultures and backgrounds. During that time, I have made it my mission to provide the most comprehensive counseling to which I know how. My approach is nonjudgmental, respectful, and laid-back; I don't use a “one size fits all” model but rather one that takes into account your unique history and experiences. Therefore, it’s important for me to adjust my style to match yours so that we can address your concerns in the most effective way possible. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and self-esteem but have additional experience with issues relating to PTSD, suicidality, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, coping skills, stress management, and substance abuse/process addiction behaviors. I address these areas through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT/MCBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
