I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, practicing in Florida and South Carolina with over 10 years of experience. I have a career background in different environments and with diverse client groups, providing counseling within schools systems, therapeutic foster homes, a hospitalized psychiatric unit, and outpatient office settings. I have experience working with individuals and families, providing counseling, behavior management, and psycho-education (i.e., stress reduction). I provide supportive counseling for a broad array of concerns, including anxiety/stress management, depression/grief, and interpersonal issues/relationship difficulties. In addition, I have worked on program development in the areas of mindfulness, parenting, life skills, and brain health. I believe in an eclectic therapeutic orientation based on the unique needs of the individual. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Therapy with a Strengths-Based System. I strive to assist people with identifying internal strengths, resourcefulness, and improved coping skills while encouraging improved outlooks.
