My first step in the therapeutic process is to provide a non-judgemental, empathic ear. My goal is to help you develop an understanding of yourself and your patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior. I will also provide you with concrete strategies that you can use to decrease stress, combat negative thoughts and cope with painful emotions. I tailor my approach to each individual based on his or her needs. Typically, I utilize my training in Rogerian Therapy, trauma-informed practice, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and mindfulness practice. I am bilingual in Spanish.
