About
My therapy approach is to empower and guide you in a natural unfolding of your potential. Grounded in the belief that every person has the wisdom within them to achieve true joy and freedom in life, I am here as your guide and support. My aim is to help you to access the wisdom within you through a process of increasing awareness, creating new pathways for joy, and integrating your experience in a way that helps you to feel balanced and centered in your body, mind, and spirit. I offer a compassionate and supportive environment for this process to take place.
I specialize in Mind-body psychotherapy, integrating Reiki healing and Kum Nye Tibetan yoga techniques for chronic pain and health issues, anger, anxiety, relationship difficulties, depression, eating disorders, trauma, addiction, spiritual self-development, and more. I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and took off for some much needed life experience to deepen my understanding of myself and the world around me. I discovered Buddhist teachings, psychology, meditation, yoga, and philosophy which have deeply enriched my understanding of suffering and it's causes as well as it’s cures. After some wonderful experiences connecting with these teachings and the beauty of the West coast, I returned to Minnesota to complete my Masters in Social work through the University of St. Thomas and College of St. Catherine School of Social Work in 2013. I've worked as an in-home therapist and in an eating disorder clinic, facilitating individual and group sessions. In 2016, I was finally able to realize my dream to open an integrative clinic with my sister. Through our private practice, we've been able to offer yoga and meditation classes, Reiki training, mind-body psychotherapy, acupuncture and reiki, as well as other unique classes such as sound journeying and how to create herbal tinctures.
In our sessions, we may talk about what inspires you, what holds you back, and how to break unhelpful patterns in your life. Meditation, yoga, Reiki healing, mindfulness practice, and communion with the earth may be integrated in to our sessions if you are interested. You're Mind-Body holds the key to your healing and I am simply a guide. I love to add humor to our sessions and aim for you to leave our time together feeling light, calm, and clear.
