I am an experienced professional with proven skills in addressing psychological, cultural, and environmental stressors caused by major life transitions. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’ve successfully worked with individuals, couples, and families on diverse issues since May 2005. I have developed expertise in assessing needs and identifying resources to support individuals and families in getting the help they need to go through significant life changes, such as job loss/ change, marriage, divorce, loss of loved ones, and health issues. I have a working knowledge of the Japanese language, living and worked in Japan for over five years. I have training and experience in anger & stress management, treatment of families & couples, and crisis management—a strong ability to grasp dominant themes quickly & key dynamics and negotiate practical solutions.
