Bianca Stephens LCSW is from Maryland and completed her bachelor’s degree at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland in 2013 with a major in Social Work. Bianca then received her master’s degree in Social Work from Salisbury University at the Hagerstown campus in Maryland in 2014.She completed an internship in a hospital setting performing inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy and case management and completed an internship at a non-profit organization performing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups (anger management and drug recovery) during her master’s level internship. Bianca relocated to Orlando, Florida in 2015 and performed therapy in both the private practice and non-profit setting to individuals, families, and couples ranging to children as young as 6 to adulthood. Bianca performed therapy in home, in office, and with use of a telehealth platform. Bianca again relocated to Houston, Texas in 2018 where she performed psychotherapy in a private practice in office and telehealth with a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and treatment modalities. Bianca considers herself to be an eclectic therapist because every person is different and may need a different treatment approach or theory to assist in empowerment. The modalities most often utilized are: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Bianca has assisted with a wide variety of diagnosis or adjustments such as but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Adjustments Disorders, Mood Disorders, women’s issues, and sexual orientation/coming out and gender identity(LGBTQIA+) Bianca loves being a therapist as she finds it to be incredibly fulfilling to assist people in empowering themselves to make changes in their own lives to better their mental health.
