My name is Beverly and I have been working in the counseling field for over 20 years now. I work with every type of person and utilize a variety of evidenced based approaches. I use a variety of approaches because not one approach is appropriate for each person. Everyone has a unique life experience and deserves individualized treatment according to their culture, life experiences and perceptions of the world. I have learned to become deeply attuned to the person I am working with and tailor my approach according to what is going to be the best for that individual. Therapy is an alliance and a working relationship that is designed to get results and relief as quickly as possible. I do specialize in trauma and have traveled the world working with those that have been in deep struggles due to war and conflict, famine and natural disasters and gaining relief from symptoms as well as long-term coping skills is an essential part of treatment. I work with nearly every type of mental health struggle and apply the concept that gaining symptom relief quickly as well as long-term coping skills is an essential component of effective therapy.
