About
Hello, I am a long term licensed psychotherapist (LMFT) and a Chopra certified meditation instructor. Educationally, I have a B.A. from the University of Southern California and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Past psychotherapy experience includes being an online provider for web based therapy platforms, traditional private practice, Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry Department provider, Hospice bereavement therapist, an outpatient clinician at two Family Service clinics, individual and group therapy in various school settings (elementary, middle, high and university) and contract senior clinician in inpatient medical detox. I have resided and practiced for extended periods in both Northern and Southern California. Areas of interest and focus include women’s issues, self empowerment, positive manifestation, dreamwork and mind/body healing utilizing somatic guided imagery. My treatment approach is strength based, positive and uplifting, versus “problem” focused. My style is gentle, calm, empathic, compassionate, supportive, respectful, relaxed and safety inducing. An area of strength is the ability for insight around deeper meaning (assisting in making subconscious material, conscious; utilization of symbol and metaphor). As mentioned above, I am also a Chopra certified meditation instructor and bring that as an additional area of interest and specialty. Wishing you ever increasing peace and wellbeing.
