About

I am a licensed professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug counselor with a private practice in Oklahoma City OK with 20 years of experience working as a counselor and 13 years working as a clinical director. I have worked with clients reporting to treatment because of drug use/abuse, alcohol use/abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, anger management, relapse prevention, substance abuse education, and life skills. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is inviting and humble. I treat everyone with dignity and respect, and I am very patient and empathetic to life stories. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution brief focus therapy, person centered therapy, reality therapy, and using motivational interviewing techniques. My discussions with you will be focus on your ability to want to make changes for yourself and set goals for the future.
I understand that healing and recovery is a process and I am willing to meet you at your abilities to conform to treatment and rules. I will support and encourage self-esteem, setting goals and developing a program that meets your needs.
