Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (0137511) in the State of New Mexico and a National Certified Counselor (759654) certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I specialize in Christian Counseling, family issues, eating disorders/issues, depression and anxiety-related issues.

I was always in church as a young girl, but struggled with what I heard there. I came to Christ as an adult and was freed from years of addiction and eating issues. By the grace of my Lord Jesus Christ, I am grateful that I am a new creation. I met and married my husband, and we have 3 beautiful children - 2 are our biological children, and one is our "shared son" (our foster son). Like all homes, we have good days and bad days. But, I am reminded of the verse, Romans 5:3-5, which reminds me that when I persevere through trials, it builds character, and character brings HOPE, and HOPE NEVER DISSAPPOINTS! It is this hope that propelled me to start my journey. In 2006, I began working as a school counselor at a small private Christian school after being a school teacher. In 2009, I moved into the field of eating disorders/mental health in private practice. All in all, I have more than 13 years of counseling experience.

My philosophy is Christian Counseling and use the Bible to address issues of emotional distress by helping you discover what the Bible has to say about the issue you are having right now and how it is applicable to today's issues (2 Peter 1:3). I will pray with you, lead you to Scripture, be quick to hear you, and will speak the truth in love to you. This is what I believe helps Christian Counseling be effective.

I specialize in Christian counseling, in helping you build a skill set to help you deal with struggles, and in working with those who struggle with eating disorders. I hope to help you work towards a better relationship with God and towards a healthy life. But, I also recognize that it can be scary to begin a new therapeutic relationship, so we will work together slowly to build trust as we work on your goals.
