About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor independently licensed in the state of West Virginia with five years of experience working with clients ranging in ages from 10-80 years of age. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, process disorders, ADHD, PTSD and grief issues. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders.
I believe in meeting people where they are on their life path and helping them to choose the best path ahead. I highly respect the autonomy of others, adhering to the belief that others are the experts in their lives, and I am privileged to work with them to help them make the best choices for their lives. I also believe in doing no harm while also working toward their greater good so that wellness can prevail in their lives. Last, I believe in honoring promises to my clients, treating them with fairness, and speaking the truth with all individuals involved in the counseling process.
Counseling is a collaborative process, one that can be highly successful by investing in self and developing strategies that work for your life. It is also largely relational, in that trusting another with life challenges and working through these challenges may seem alarming initially, but ultimately can set a precedent for developing improved relationships with the self and with others.
