At times, life may seem overwhelming. It is during these times that you may need someone, a professional, who will help you gain a fresh perspective on a situation and equip you with the tools and resources you need to help you to live your best life.

I would like to be that professional to you. I have enjoyed working in the various fields of social work for approximately 25 years. I have a B.A. degree in sociology and speech communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's degree in social work from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. I am a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed school social worker and a certified life coach. I have successfully worked with people experiencing life's transitions, clients who want to move past their trauma and find hope and healing and individuals who have challenges with self-esteem, anger management and healthy communication.

While I am intentional about providing individualized care, the approaches that inform my practice are client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, positive psychology and therapeutic coaching. I want you to get the most out of our sessions together. That is why it is important to me that I build a therapeutic relationship with you and create a safe environment for you to share your thoughts and feelings. I will listen to you, support you and encourage you. I also will assist you in developing an action plan to address your areas of concern and keep you moving forward as you address the patterns of thinking that have prevented you from experiencing life at its best.

Please know that I am not here to "fix" you but to partner with you. You are not alone. Things can and will get better. I would love to have the opportunity to work with you.
