Hello and thanks for stopping by! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. I’m originally from New York City, where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, from Hunter College and my Master’s degree in Social Work, from Columbia University. I’ve lived in Florida since 1999. I have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. My experience is with individuals and their families in a variety of settings, which include the following: community organizations, hospital settings, residential, outpatient, in-home, and within the school setting. I have experience with a wide range of clinical issues, which includes, anxiety and stress related issues, depression, anger and aggression, intellectual/developmental disabilities, mild autism , trauma and abuse issues. Additionally, I’ve worked with family of origin issues, relationship issues and LGBTQ related issues. My counseling style is client-centered, holistic in nature and culturally sensitive. I do my best to ensure that I provide an environment that is non-judgmental, warm and supportive. The techniques used during sessions are eclectic in nature. My approach is always determined by the individual client’s needs. I predominantly incorporate evidence based techniques such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, , solution-focused counseling and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I strongly believe that everyone needs someone in their life that they can share their troubles and triumphs with.
