Hello! My name is Benjamin Morris, and I am a Limited License Professional Counselor (LLPC) currently undergoing my supervisory period. I have a Bachelor of Science from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Prior to becoming an LLPC, I was a Paramedic in the private sector for just over twelve years. During this time, I gained a strong appreciation for how the mind and body interact to affect each other’s health and functioning, as well as the effects of new and prolonged trauma on the body and mind. I work with a wide range of clients with a large variety of needs and concerns, and I recognize that treatment is not a one-size-fits-all. My treatment approach is eclectic and based on the individual needs and readiness of the client, primarily utilizing aspects of Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Feminist Theory. I strive to create a safe and accepting environment during the counseling session for all individuals, regardless of race, gender identity, religion, or sexuality. As a former paramedic, I recognize the strength needed to come this far on your own; let me help you with the next leg of your journey.
