Sheila Purdie, LICSW. I take a collaborative approach to working with clients. I start with the individual and where they are and work from there. My approach My approach is based on compassion, empathy, and understanding. I am an eclectic clinician and believe in using the right tools that are appropriate for the situation. My focus I am skilled and comfortable working with a wide variety of clients. Currently, adults and older adults are the age groups I work with. I love working on women's issues, anxiety, stress management, adjustment issues, mild depression, cultural issues, coaching, health and wellness coaching, career change, childhood trauma, and relationships. My communication style I like to create a warm and understanding environment for my clients. Kindness and being non-judgmental are important to me. My journey to mental healthcare I have been a therapist for many years now and what keeps me going is that I feel like I really am able to help people live improved lives. My goals for you I think goal setting is important. I like working with the client collaboratively using a strength-based approach to setting achievable and helpful goals. My first session with you I like to make sure I establish clear communication with the client and work to see what their goals are and how we can work together to achieve their goals.
