I am a licensed clinical social worker (NYS) with fifteen years of experience providing therapy to adults of all ages, from 19 to 85. Developing a therapeutic relationship with my clients is a high priority for me. My philosophy is that this relationship, along with establishing a sense of safety within the therapeutic setting, is critical to the client's growth and healing. I practice a client centered approach where, with my help, the client steers the direction of therapy, and his/her feelings and ideas are respected. I have worked with clients on all kinds of issues, including anxiety, self-esteem, adjusting to life events, trauma histories, accepting the aging process, parenting issues, grief and loss, death and dying, as well as finding one's direction and purpose in life. Therapy can help to address anything that holds us back and prevents us from having our best life. Sometimes we need a little assistance with those transitions life throws at us.
