About
Hi, I'm Barbara Vitalis, My goal is to provide assistance and guidance to you in your path to change and self-discovery. I have 15+ years of experience treating mental health, SUD, and Dual Diagnosis in a variety of settings such as inpatient, Medically Assisted Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs , and Intensive Outpatient Prpgrams.
I work with those who are experiencing anxiety/depression whose world may have become smaller and has begun to disengage with those around them. In addition I specialize with those that have been dually diagnosed and have found that their lives have become unmanageable as a result of their mental illness/substance use. I also address co-dependency, anger management, and communication skills.
I use a variety of methods depending on the individual. When first meeting a client I collaborate with them on what they would like to focus on and what methodology would be the best fit. I'm adept in MI, ACT, CBT, DBT, and SFBT. I use mindfulness/grounding skills as a tool and tend to have clients practice skills in between sessions.
