Life is a journey and not a destination. I look forward to getting to know each individual that I work with and finding ways to make their journey more successful and happy. I am person centered and trauma focused. With over 20 years of work in the mental health field I have experience working with many areas of concern such as anxiety, depression, transitions, family of orgin issues, relationships and self esteem. I like to start with building rapport while gaining an understanding of your world view. I treat all people with respect and dignity. A big part of showing respect is to engage you in the process of developing the goals that you want to work toward. The first step of reaching out for help may not have been an easy one and I honor your bravery in doing so. I look forward to seeing how we might best work together to help make the next steps of life easier and more enjoyable. My approach in counseling is to individualize treatment to meet your needs and to empower you to find the answers within.
