About
Hello and Welcome! You are a stronger and confident human being for having to initiate this special journey in your life and seeking the support you need to be able to move forward with your present and future life. I would like to help you take the necessary steps to reach your goals and gain what is important to you! The journey starts with you and I can support you get there. I began this journey in the mental health field at California Lutheran University where I completed the master’s in science degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. During and after graduation, I worked in various mental health settings. I have spent time working in group homes, adult, and children/teen clinics as well as with Foster children and Kinship families. I have done extensive work with the Transitional-aged youth (TAY 16-25) and trained in Early Detection and Intervention for Psychosis. I have worked with clients struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, addictions, trauma, behavioral issues, family conflicts, etc. I have worked with families from different cultural backgrounds and have done extensive work within the Latino community. I strive to deliver culturally sensitive approaches and techniques. I focus on inner-strength and self-exploration. I want to develop a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and provide a nonjudgmental environment as well as provide my clients with the necessary tools to move forward with their lives. I want to encourage you and when you feel “stuck,” challenge you for a better and more positive outcome. My Mission: To make a more confident, stronger, and empowered human being to be able to move forward with their past, present and future life.
