Ayralynne Coviello is a Florida Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist and owner/operator of Footsteps Counseling, LLC. Her passion is helping people discover their higher/wise selves, brain research, and reducing distress to improve functioning. She specializes in forms of Trauma (Sexual, Physical, Emotional, Psychological, Spiritual, and Domestic Violence), Complex Trauma, Mood Disorders, Adjustment Issues, Anxiety/Panic, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, complex grief including the loss of a child, Therapists seeking Therapy, Womens Issues, Mens Issues, and most human distress/symptoms. She has experience working in Community Mental Health Centers, Crisis Hospitals, Military Trauma, and Not-for-Profits, Supervising/Managing Therapeutic Staff, Teaching about the brain and nervous system along with therapeutic modalities, and private practices. Ayralynne graduated from the esteemed and rigorous program at Northwestern University to obtain her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has been contracted in the past to supervise student-therapists in their group immersions and has advocated for the therapist community. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and science-based, and a healthy dose of humor when appropriate. Her modality of treatment is psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and DBT techniques to help the client gain insight into patterns of behavior, past conditioning, the ""why"" of the brain/our reactions, reconditioning/integrating emotions in the brain, and is a person-centered therapist. In her free time, she enjoys nature trips hiking, beach-going, training her therapy companion Cannoli, and spending time with family and friends.
