I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in North Carolina with counseling, community presentation, and leadership experience. I have primarily worked with clients seeking treatment for eating disorders, which accompanies a wide range of concerns in addition to disordered eating and body image, including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and more. I have served as a clinical intern, primary therapist, and team leader at an eating disorders facility in which I conducted individual therapy, family therapy, and meal support. My experience in a higher level of care facility has also offered me the opportunity to lead our trauma programming, family groups, and support groups for loved ones. I have additionally provided crisis counseling over the phone to provide counseling for individuals in the community experiencing a variety of emotional concerns and crises. As a volunteer at a national resource center, I provided phone, email, and chat support to community members in need of mental health resources.

My therapy style is warm and direct. I believe in approaching clients with respect and compassion while supporting them in bringing maladaptive coping strategies to their awareness so they can work toward living a life more in line with their own values. I have utilized various theoretical models to treat clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic techniques, and motivational interviewing. My goal is to empower my clients to take steps toward sustainable change, which entails incorporating self-compassion, setting challenging yet attainable goals, and honoring growth in all forms.
