Authurine, a migrant from Jamaica, WI received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 2006. She received her Licensure for Social Work in 2010. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked with children/Adolescents, adults with various age ranges. She has experience working with ADHD, Learning Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Behavioral concerns (School/Home/Community), Substance Disorders and with LGBTQ + community. She individualizes each client by utilizing a strength-based approach to work with children and families. She believes building positive relationships creates positive changes. She also utilizes a person-centered approach with the incorporation of CBT or TF-CBT, motivational interviewing and engagement techniques to build therapeutic alliances that foster change in individuals and families.
