About

I’m Aurie Garcia Munter and my passion is to help individuals have successful lives. Before working at Find A Therapist I spent over 6 years working for private agencies both (residential and outpatient) specializing in addiction treatment with adults and teens helping them find ways to be successful in their lives through gaining empowerment and strength. While some of their situations were severe with many distractions and losses they were able to set goals and create a meaningful life. While working in these agencies I had the opportunity to work with women and this inspired me to continue to help women grow and create their own path to success. I believe my clients already have the knowledge and ability to stay motivated, responsible and disciplined. It is my role to help guide my clients and stand with them as they discover their goals and find themselves.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, #1820 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Chadron State College.

I offer several modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My specialty population includes women with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, depression and self esteem. I also enjoy working with young mothers and single moms.
