About

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina. I have 20 years experience working in the Mental Health field and 7 years working in the Public School setting, of which 5 years have been as a LCMHC. I have experience in teen, child, and adult mental health, as well as with intellectually/developmentally disabled populations. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, family dynamics, physical and emotional trauma, career planning, and peer issues.

I believe all individuals can be happy and successful. My main counseling styles are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My goal of therapy is to develop a person-centered plan that incorporates the unique concerns and needs of each individual. I believe for therapy to be successful, it is imperative to work on skills that individuals can incorporate into their daily lives.
