If we haven't met yet, hi! I'm Ashley Silverio. I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, pizza lover, and people-person! I'm also a mental health therapist and school mental health counselor in sunny Miami, Florida. I am passionate about helping both women and children on their personal journeys to thrive. After working with many women and children through the years I have become uniquely understanding of the challenges of womanhood and parenthood. Providing support to women as they navigate the highs and lows of the demands of life, because lets be real, women are bombarded with never-ending life demands. Often times women neglect themselves at the cost of doing something for everyone else. I also love to help caregivers create meaningful relationships with their children, where parents learn the tools they need to effectively parent, while providing the love and structure that children so desperately need and want. I'm not foreign to having been in therapy myself, because I believe that being supported by a mental health professional should be as regular as seeing a primary care physician. What I got from being in therapy was a feeling of validation, an unbiased person to hear me out, and someone who took me by the hand and navigated difficult waters with me. I in turn, have also had the privilege to do the same for my clients through the years, providing a space to be vulnerable and get from the place of feeling stuck to a place of thriving. If I could change the world in one way that would look like a world where women are supported through the demands of womanhood, parents are equipped with the right techniques to effectively change unwanted behavior, without the use of corporal punishment and yelling, and young children with developmental delays are given the proper early intervention support they need to excel and be on track developmentally.
