I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 6 years with experience providing treatment to adults, children, and adolescents. I received my Masters of Social Work from North Carolina Central University. I specialize in substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment. I have experience in treating individuals with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, adjustment disorder, depression, chronic pain, and anxiety. I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy in treating anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, chronic pain, and bipolar disorder. I am also trained in DBT. From my experience thus far I have learned that creating a safe environment and building trusting relationships is vital to the therapeutic environment. I chose to become a mental health professional because I enjoy getting to know people and partnering with them to achieve their personal goals and overcome the challenges of life. I love building relationships, helping my clients gain insight into themselves, and establishing interventions to achieve their personal goals.
