I'm Ashley! I am a clinical mental health counseling registered intern (RMHCI). Mental health is health. Without fostering wellness in this area, the other pillars of health in your life are also at risk. I believe in meeting others where they are, providing an empathetic and safe environment to express oneself, and focusing on solutions to help others live the life they want to live. I keep an open mind and am nonjudgemental. Reaching out for help in this area can be scary, but I hope to make the process seamless and encourage you to continue to be brave! Each individual has everything in them that they need to build the life they want to live, they just need enough support to hone in and embrace these things. I try to focus on finding things in each person that will motivate them and remind them of their strengths while working through the hard times. A strong therapeutic relationship is important, but recognizing your agency and assets will allow you to thrive outside of our sessions. Leaving room for lightness and humor is something else that’s important to me because getting through tough times can require a good laugh or two.
