Hi! My name is Ashley Pimentel and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of MA with over 15 years of experience. I have experience working with clients with a wide-range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma.

I currently work at an acute inpatient hospital using a brief, solution-focused approach. My ongoing caseload consists of working with clients who are experiencing homelessness, substance use, and acute mental health crises. I also work with clients and families/caregivers around the sensitive subject of end-of-life and hospice. Additionally, I have 10 years of experience working in an urban law enforcement agency. My primary role as a Mental Health Clinician was to provide ongoing mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and debriefing.

As it pertains to this platform, I find most success in using a client-centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship between clients and therapists is one of the key elements in traditional talk therapy. I am very empathetic and provide a welcoming approach. I also like to use a solution-focused approach when working with clients who wish to target a specific area of concern. I believe it is important to establish measurable, short-term goals, from the first session. We will review each goal and measure progress periodically. Through the use of psychoeducation, worksheets, messaging, and live sessions, it is my goal to assist you in improving your quality of life.

I am currently able to provide 30-minute live chat sessions, in addition to the messaging feature that is always available.
