Ashley Rowland is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist at Theory & Method. Ashley obtained her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Houston and holds licensure in Nevada and Texas. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Learning and Development with a concentration in PreK-12 Special Education and K-6 General Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Ashley previously worked in a hospital setting and has experience teaching children and adults of all ages and developmental levels. Ashley's focus is supporting clients with autism, IDD, ADHD, and learning disabilities to live their best lives. Beyond supporting the neurodiverse population, she has experience helping clients working through various life traumas such as childhood abuse, domestic violence, and medical trauma. Additionally, Ashley is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. Ashley uses a Psychodynamic approach with elements of Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to help clients recognize their strengths, values, and goals for therapy. Ashley recently moved to Reno from Houston, TX. She enjoys hiking and spending time near Lake Tahoe with her husband. Ashley also enjoys listening to music, dancing, and spending time with her two cats.
