Hi there, I'm Ashley! My name is Ashley Jeffries and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Monterey, California and work with clients state-wide via telehealth. I specialize in working with individuals from a depth psychological orientation, exploring meaning-making, and purpose, and cultivating a sense of identity. I also have expertise in working with individuals with disordered eating, eating disorders, and body image concerns. My approach While my therapeutic approach is informed by traditional skill-building therapies such as CBT and DBT, my primary approach with clients is person-centered, integrative, and largely rooted in Jungian theory. I work with clients to find the depth of work and a personalized, collaborative approach that is best for them. My focus For the last five years, I've specialized in working with clients with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and challenges around identity and body autonomy. I often am a match for clients who have an interest in exploring a sense of purpose, spirituality, and deepening their sense of connection to themselves. My communication style My communication style is warm, direct, and collaborative. Clients can expect sessions in which we mutually explore clear goals for the session time, utilize creative interventions as ways to deepen the work and identify enjoyable applications for their day-to-day life. My journey to therapy My passion for working with others as a therapist comes from my own experiences of finding my sense of self through life's experiences of joy, pain, risk, and a pursuit of living in authenticity. I am deeply moved by the complexities of the human condition and wish to bring compassion and presence to deep topics with my clients. My goals for you In the initial sessions, I work with clients to identify what hopes and expectations they have for therapy. We will set small targets, checking in regularly to identify if the work continues to be meaningful.
