About

Hello! My name is Ashley Duckgeischel, and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist, located in Southern California. My mission as a therapist is to support my clients towards growth emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually as they become more fully the individuals they are designed to be. It's my goal to assist clients to have a more defined sense of self and to help them live out a life that is in line with the values they hold to. While I have experience working with clients of all backgrounds and faith systems, I am a practicing Christian who holds to a biblical worldview. When requested, I enjoy helping others apply their faith to their everyday lives to achieve a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and peace. My approach In my practice, I use a variety of theoretical approaches including human-centered, Christian-based integrative counseling, cognitive behavioral, reality, existential, and experiential therapies. My focus I have experience working with clients of all ages who struggle with anxiety disorders, depression, relationship challenges, identity, women's issues, health concerns, work-related issues, etc. My communication style One of my primary goals for my clients is to feel heard and respected in sessions while feeling relaxed and comfortable discussing difficult and personal issues. I hope to foster an environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions as well as building trust with me to help them resolve personal challenges through our collaborative efforts. My journey to mental healthcare I have had a personal calling to help others since I was young. I experience a great sense of joy in being able to help others find increased personal freedom and establish stronger relationships and more fulfilling lives as they grow through the work we accomplish together. My goals for you It's important for all clients to have a goal that they are working towards in session to feel that their progress is tangible.
