Hello! My name is Ashley and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I earned my BA in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have approximately 10 years working in the helping field with the past 4 years dedicated to mental health counseling. I have worked in agencies, schools, and private practice settings. I have enjoyed working with a wide range of diverse clients and issues and have experience helping people navigate depression, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem issues, foster-care/adoption, and behavioral concerns. I have a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma, PTSD, and grief.

I believe in using a person-centered approach, meaning you are the captain and I am your co-pilot. I believe in tailoring treatment to fit an individual's personality, strengths, and goals for therapy. My approach can best be described as warm, supportive, and collaborative and I love using humor when possible/appropriate. The techniques I use include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed treatment, and creative interventions. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help so that's why I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment so that you can explore and process the issues that are holding you back from being your best self.
