Mental health counseling is Arlette's passion which is evident in her past experiences and roles in her community since 2002. One notable experience includes her time at a refugee relocation site where she gained first-hand knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of trauma and PTSD. Arlette was later blessed with the opportunity to pursue continuing education in a doctoral program where she researched best practices in therapy. Arlette recently became a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) to better assist her clients. Substance use treatment is another of her passions that was fostered through her work with adult probation clients. Arlette's treatment approach can best be described as client-centered and trauma-informed, integrating research-based methods suited to the client's specific needs. Arlette believes in the therapeutic alliance between the counselor and client first and foremost. Arlette values your autonomy, assuming a supportive, encouraging role through your personal journey.
