About

Tired of feeling anxious all the time? Of criticizing yourself and avoiding situations you actually want to be apart of? Or of thinking that you're stupid, worthless, or have nothing to offer? Good-you’re in the right place. Also, you are SO not alone. These are common concerns in my practice and fortunately very treatable. Our work will be centered on discovering how your “problems” came to be and how they were actually necessary solutions-ways you needed to be, but are now outdated and getting in your way. As we heal old wounds, we'll also help you come up with new ways of being that are more in line with your authentic self. Empowering individuals to feel understood and valued is at the heart of my work as a psychotherapist. When you come to see me for therapy, you can expect a space that's all about collaborating and working through things together. I really believe that the key to effective therapy is building a strong connection between us, so you can feel safe and supported as we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I blend traditional talk therapy with more present-moment interventions from evidenced based practices to help you get to the root of your issues and create lasting change. I have roots in many theories and approaches, including like body-focused approaches, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, and internal family systems, and coherence therapy. I have a deep passion for assisting my clients in connecting with their bodies and identifying unconscious patterns that may be limiting them. Together, we'll explore ways to process your emotions and gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts with compassion and curiosity. We'll work towards developing new, authentic ways of being that align with your true self, discuss your childhood experiences to gain insight into your current concerns, and incorporate unique exercises to help you heal old wounds, preventing them from resurfacing.
