About

Welcome! I’m so glad you decided to level up on purpose! By that, I mean your incredible sense of self-worth has led you to care for your most valuable asset and most crucial instrument to your making it through this time: your mental wealth. With that, the outcome of your treatment depends largely on your willingness to engage in this process, which may, at times, result in considerable discomfort. As a licensed professional counselor, I hope to utilize my knowledge of life and behavioral sciences to empower individuals, strengthen families and help build stronger communities. I have gained much insight through mine own personal experiences and educational opportunities. Therapeutically, my approach to counseling is an eclectic one. Together, we can jointly come up with goals and solutions that are going to work for you. I have had special training and engage in competent, culturally conscious counseling. I have the most experience working with anxiety, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, and complex trauma/abuse. I also have experience working with depression, intellectual/developmental disabilities, mild autism, and immigration/acculturation issues. I have gained an incredible amount of insight on the experiences of humanity and their ensuing cognitive and behavioral implications. I view the therapeutic alliance as a partnership requiring mutual trust, respect, honesty, communication, and commitment to do the work. I believe in treating individuals with respect and dignity and protecting their privacy. The therapeutic relationship is unique in that it is a highly personal and at the same time, a contractual agreement. Given this, it is important for us to reach a clear understanding about how our relationship will work, and what each of us can expect.
