I am a Clinical Social Worker who has worked both inpatient mental health and outpatient doing counseling with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I work with mood disorders, psychosis and paranoia, anxiety, and personality disorders. However, I don't believe we are just bound by a diagnosis, so I am here to help with any issues or challenges that come along. I provide a true listening ear and empathy.
My therapy style is laid back and compassionate. We are a team, and I want you involved in every step of the process. You decide what you want to work on, and I'm here to guide you on your journey. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist in the process of growth and evolution. Therapy does include a gentle nudge here and there to help with the growth, but you are in control of the process. I believe in open and honest communication and you will be treated respectfully throughout all interactions.
