My goal as a therapist is to provide support for my clients as they find the path that leads to their particular and personal healing and/or improved functioning. How this is accomplished is specific to the needs of the client and is influenced by their life experiences. Myself I am a combat veteran serving in Central and South America as well as the Middle East. I became a counselor following a long and winding road (Please excuse my borrow of a Beatles tune). These life experiences have left me with a wide range of knowledge which is often integrated into the healing process. As I believe that each person is unique, so too, the therapeutic process. I do not prescribe to a particular method of healing, instead I join with my clients to find the process that works best for them.
I am comfortable addressing a variety of issues. My clinical focus is trauma and addiction issues. I understand that as humans we are each unique. Therefore, I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is accepting, non-judgmental, and individualized for each person. We all heal in different ways and time schedules --- focus is placed upon progress at your pace
