I work with children, teens, and adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma. As a therapist with a relational, person-centered approach, I emphasize teaching individuals through their experience in therapy skills including setting healthy boundaries, learning to communicate their wants and needs, and cultivating a healthy interdependence with others in their life. I use warmth and humor to help you feel understood as an individual. My approach blends attunement and caring with creating practical solutions for helping you to deal with your problems. In my work with children, I make sure that parents are involved in treatment so that you have the skills to validate your child's emotions, manage behavioral challenges, and create a closer bond with your child. Play therapy is proven to be effective with a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns in children, but I also want to support you as a parent in helping your child outside of the one hour per week your child is in therapy.
