Hello and thank you for reading my profile. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Colorado. I recently moved to Oregon and will soon be licensed in this state as well. I have been practicing for 26 years in outpatient, residential, and educational settings. I am a licensed School Counselor (K-12); also, a certified mindfulness teacher and practioner. I work with individuals, groups, youth, and families. I have worked primarily in the schools for the past 8 years. I am feeling the calling to ease back into clinical practice with adults to share the treasures I have found in my own healing work. I use mindfulness as a tool to teach self-regulation skills to help manage overpowering emotions and disruptive thoughts. I strive to enrich understanding of the motivations beneath habitual thought patterns that cause suffering. I am passionate about helping others discover the peace of mind that focused attention, intentional living, and self-compassion can provide. I utilize techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and Analytical Psychology.
