Welcome. My name is Annemarie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. I have over 20 years experience engaging with courageous people seeking support and change. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, addiction treatment programs and private outpatient practice. I work with clients affected by Depression, Stress and Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, Addictions, Grief and Life Transitions. I
am also a member of the National Society of Health Coaches and truly believe that people should be empowered to make choices and integrate both mind and body to enhance self awareness and achieve wellness.
I am a Humanistic and client centered therapist. I am a little
laid back but my approach is interactive and accepting. My role is to build a solid relationship with my clients and provide a safe place to process life's curveballs.
I draw in multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that they can integrate into their daily lives. I use Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Oriented and Mindfulness Techniques to facilitate change and help people reach their health and healing goals.
I understand it can be difficult to ask for help. I enjoy and feel honored to be part of someone’s personal experiences. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership built on honest communication and I hope that no matter what challenges you are facing we can work through them together.
