Hi, I’m Anne and I’m going to be the person by your side as you make your journey to feeling good mentally. I appreciate this opportunity to work with you.

I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a mental/behavioral health concentration. I received my Bachelor of Science Social Work in 2009 from Defiance College and Master of Social Work from Spring Arbor University in 2016 and gained my LISW in 2018. I’ve been a therapist for several years and have experience working with a broad range of clients of all genders, ages, and race. I have experience in working with LGBTQ+ population and strive to offer a safe space for everyone. I have training in trauma informed care and experience with various types of therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy just to name some. I often find that no one therapy type works alone for a person as each person has such different experiences in life and ways of handling their experiences.

Quite often the first question I hear from a client is: “How does this work?” Well, there’s no perfect answer. It will all depend on you. This is your journey and you are the one who is going to be doing the work to make it what you want. I am going to be by your side through this encouraging, asking questions, and helping you to look at things from as many perspectives as we can. We’ll work on setting goals, both short and long term, and the steps you can take to reach your goals. It will be work, but it will be worth it.
