I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 plus years of experience working with and on behalf of people of all ages and backgrounds. I graduated from USC in 1997 with my Master’s Degree in Social Work which provided robust foundational training in psychotherapy and mental health. I continued to work in the mental health setting with children and families as a therapist with Orange County’s Children and Youth Services. In 2007, I obtained my LCSW and went to work in the medical setting. For the past nine years, I have been very fortunate to work as a medical social worker in an acute care hospital, specifically with critically ill patients and families in the intensive care unit. While my background and training are in psychoanalysis, I prefer to utilize an eclectic range of approaches to patients. What works for you may not be what works for the next person. Once a trusting relationship is formed, I firmly believe that change can occur. I take a humanistic approach, encouraging mindfulness and aspiration setting to work toward self-actualization. I am skilled in coping with grief and loss, managing depression and anxiety, addiction, and trauma and abuse. Our current times are very challenging, and many find it difficult to cope. Many of us feel unbalanced. There is no shame in seeking help. Whatever the issues you are facing, I would like to help you identify what will make you feel whole again.
