I know that taking the step to reach out for help can be difficult for many people. I am glad you are taking that step and would love to help you on your journey.
I view therapy as a collaborative relationship and a journey to self-discovery. While we can’t change the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. I believe that people are experts on their own lives and are coping the best they can. I believe that with the right support, all people have the power to heal themselves and find true inner happiness. I have worked with those who struggle with addiction, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional eating, work/life balance issues, family/relationship/parenting concerns, sexual orientation and gender identity.
I take a strength based, warm but direct approach when working with others. I believe that the most important factor to successful therapy outcomes is the relationship between client/therapist.
I have been a social worker for over 15 years and have a vast amount of experience in helping individuals who are presented with difficult times. I have a direct, down to earth style. Having worked with diverse populations, I recognize that your circumstances are unique to you and therefore approaching the healing process in a way that incorporates your individuality is essential.
