Hi! My name is Anna Weddington, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with 20 years of counseling experience in the school setting. I received my Master's Degree in School Counseling in 2003 from Appalachian State University and became a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in 2016. I enjoy working with people on a wide array of topics such as ADHD, life transitions, development of coping skills, self-empowerment, grief and loss, as well as anxiety and depression.

I strive to create an emotionally safe environment of warmth and acceptance. My clinical approach is integrative. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client Centered Therapy. I ofen use techniques such as Motivational Interviewing, Goal-Setting, and Expressive Arts. I believe that every individual possesses the ability to harness their strengths to find solutions that work for them.
