My name is Anna and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I am licensed in Massachusetts and am currently working toward licensure in California as well. I earned my Master of Social Work degree at Boston College and have had the privilege of working with a diverse population of individuals experiencing a broad range of mental health and interpersonal difficulties.

My initial goal in working with clients is to build comfort and trust to foster a safe and supportive environment. I believe that this is a prerequisite for achieving the vulnerability that is necessary for real progress to be made. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, strength-based, respectful and empowering. I draw from a combination of various therapy modalities, tailored to your individual desires and goals, and I believe that past, present, and future are all critical times to consider in the process of improving whatever it is that brings you to therapy. I believe that you know yourself best (even if it doesn’t always feel like it) and that you have the strength and capacity to accomplish any goals you set for yourself. I will be here to support you in that process in a way that is tailored to your individual and ever-changing needs; I will provide validation when appropriate, but I will also help you to identify beliefs and patterns that are not serving you, and assist you in challenging and breaking down these barriers to growth.

I have experience working with a variety of demographics, particularly individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, and difficulty with decision-making around choices, large and small. I also have a background in substance abuse counseling, with extensive experience in treating substance use and addiction with various co-occurring mental health issues.
