About

Life is often full of unexpected twists and turns that can leave us wondering what just happened. My clinical career has primarily been spent helping people adjust to a new normal when life hasn't gone as expected. Whether that be the loss of a loved one, a traumatic event, a life-changing illness, or any other life altering event, I am available to assist with the bumps along the journey of life.

Over the past eighteen years, I have worked as a therapist helping individuals cope with grief and loss, chronic and terminal illnesses, traumatic events, abuse, crisis situations, depression, anxiety, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, adoption, educational challenges, substance abuse, religious trauma and abuse, as well as many other life experiences that require support to navigate. Sometimes we need someone to accompany us on the journey in order to adapt and deal with what arises in life. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, comfortable environment, which leads to opportunities to discuss life's challenges and how to face them.

My educational background includes a Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Utah (2005) and a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Human Development (2001) from Utah State University. Over the years, I have had many opportunities to supervise and mentor social work interns and new graduates.

My life experiences also include living in Central America and on an Indian Reservation. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, baking, hiking, practicing yoga, spending time outside, or enjoying a good book.
