About
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC#3943). You might come to me struggling to find a sense of wellness, balance, or fulfillment in your day to day life. You might feel overwhelmed and lost in the midst of too many competing demands. You might be seeking help to let go of things that are holding you back and to find new ways to navigate your experience. My approach is collaborative, supportive, holistic, and nonjudgmental. Together, we can explore your unique history, challenges, and strengths to help you sort through things, heal, and find ways to live a richer, more meaningful, and more fulfilling life. My approach is integrative with a strong grounding in mindfulness, compassion, and empathy. I have a passion for working with people who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and alone. I have worked extensively with adolescents, young adults, and parents. I also work with people struggling with the intersection of mental health and substance use. Further, I often work with people who are caught in the throws of depression, anxiety, and life stress. There are many reasons why it can be hard to reach out for therapy. It is so meaningful that you are taking steps to take care of yourself in this way. I want you to know that I emphasize creating a safe space within the therapy relationship to support this important and vulnerable work. I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in substance abuse and addictions from Antioch University New England. I have trained and worked in several clinical settings including a residential substance use disorder program, an in-home family therapy agency, a college counseling center, a crisis stabilization unit for adolescents experiencing psychiatric emergencies, and the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser.
