My name is Ankita Mohanty (ankh-KEE-the moh-HAHN-thee), and I use she/her pronouns. I was born in Odisha, India, raised in central Michigan, and have lived in the Bay Area for nearly a decade. I was born in Odisha, India, raised in central Michigan, and have lived in the Bay Area for nearly a decade. I currently live on the unceded lands of the Coast Miwok people. I have worked in residential treatment, private practice, foster care/adoption, school, hospital, and community mental health settings for the past decade. Each environment has refined my skillset for accessing sacred space within existing conditions. I especially enjoy working with people who identify as creatives, empaths, susceptible people (HSPs), and spiritual seekers. My style is improvisational and eclectic yet tethered in mindful somatic inquiry, meaning the body’s knowing is uplifted into present-moment awareness. This informs the session’s direction, pace, and intensity, ultimately contributing to more excellent safety and more easeful integration. I believe entering into a relationship with ourselves is a devotional practice; it asks for our patience, attention, and courage. In return, we are gifted with awareness of our magic. I am honored to be alongside you at this point in your journey.
