About

I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed addictions counselor who has worked, primarily with the forensic population who are currently incarcerated. I am skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused brief therapy. I am also trained in eye movement rapid desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and frequently work with clients who exhibit co-occurring disorders including post traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorders.
Fundamentally, I believe that clients should be in control of their treatment, and have a menu of options available. Mutual respect, trust, and rapport is paramount to my client/therapist relationships regardless of modality.
